Relatively newly trio’d (+guitarist) Detroit “twat-rockers” SeaHag has a new single, “Shut Your Mouth,” so don’t you dare read this aloud.
“Shut Your Mouth” delivers you Detroit Punk fun and aggression in less time than it takes to brush your teeth! Off the bat I really enjoy the tradeoff dynamic between the clean and guttural vocals, as well as their gritty presentation. Bass and guitar tones are satisfyingly fuzzy and chunky, (and the bass is audible, hurray!) and the riffs are simple and effective. I love the thumpy and tom heavy drums that add a doom metal feel. The straightforward high energy production style works perfect for the genre and keeps the tracks character intact.
I like less than completely serious punk rock that keeps its edge. I like SeaHag’s shut your mouth. Available wherever you enjoy music.
