Woot! October 29, 2023 is the ten year anniversary of my releasing of music. Back then I released under a project called Rebel Prom Queen (which you can find the best of on streaming platforms under Justin Hurst), but the music I made then isn’t so dissimilar from what I make now. Then like now, I was throwing stuff into a DAW I didn’t fully understand and recording in a bedroom. I’d like to think I improved a bit in the last ten years, and I thought a great way to show that was to resurrect an old favorite, “Dirt Wizard,” as well as play around a bit, so to celebrate I’m releasing a little project. “Dirt Wizard” (the album this time) releases October 29th on all streaming platforms, but if you want to listen to the whole thing, you’ve got to listen where it all started, on Bandcamp.

All platforms get a slightly remastered version of the original recording, a renewed acoustic version, and a proggy extended version of “Dirt Wizard.” Bandcamp gets four more songs that play around with genre, and don’t take themselves too seriously.
