I need to listen to more Jolie Holland. I think I listened to the song “Old Fashioned Morphine” around when it came out in 2004 a decent bit, but was a fool and never dived further. Anyways, “Haunted Mountain” is such a vibe. Holland’s vocals are absolutely drop dead gorgeous and the lonely guitar accompanies it perfectly.

This song reminds me of 4 Non Blondes “What’s Up?” in all the best ways. It’s got a real renaissance faire folk rock vibe, with maybe some prog rock thrown in.
Ballad “Stories” Aug 16
This song is super Prince-y with the high vocals and low key dope ass guitar, and that is real cool.
Talking Kind “My Truck” Aug 16
This song would be country if it weren’t for all the sarcasm and punk rock.
dogsneeze “Milkman” Aug 18
Not often do you hear dope ass lead guitar like this in punk rock, and I think that’s neat. MILKMAN!!!!
